Appointments are offered from 3 deferent locations which include: Crofton, Laurel, and Chester, Md (Kent Island).

Lady Ink & Co, owned by Michelle since 2019, and this website reflects her business, services provided, policies, hours, pricing, etc.

Fun fact: Lady Ink & Co shares the offices with another artist, Beauty Marked by Kim. The story how we joined with keeping our separate business identity while sharing an open concept office.  We both worked at Robert Andrew Salon Spa but at different times, in 1999 Michelle moved to Georgia leaving her spa room at Robert Andrews, which had a spa photo of herself applying a face mask to a client (not a personal pic but the salon had a photo shoot using the photos throughout the spa of employees),  Kim starting working soon after and worked in the same spa room where my picture hung. My former co-workers/friends became hers as well.  Lots of time goes on and in 2018 both Michelle and Kim ended up in a permanent makeup class together by coincidence, from the photo in the spa room, Kim recognized me.  In 2019 Lady Ink & Co was formed and located in Odenton, Beauty Marked by Kim was formed in 2020 in Crofton.  With Covid I decided to take the opportunity to close my Odenton location and join with Kim at her location in Crofton. We decided to work side by side supporting each others career, business establishments as 2 separate business in one space.  Many want to know if we offer the same services... We both offer Powder Brows, Permanent Eyeliner & Saline Tattoo Removal, Lash Lift & Tint.   Kim additionally  offers Areola Tattooing and I additionally offer Lip Blush, Eyelash Extension, Brow Henna, Dermanplaning and Signature Facial Peels.

Big City Body Art, a tattoo & peircing shop, located in Laurel with an amazing talented group of guys.  They welcomed me in and gave a home (room) specially for (me) my services. I have been working with BCBA since 2018.  I freelance by appointment and you can schedule from there website.

Recently I started working on Thursdays at Bella Rose Medical Aesthetics in Chester, Md (Kent Island) and what an incredible med spa!  Stephanie, the owner, is a power house that is impressive with her knowledge and dedication to her staff, business and clients. You can get more information from their website and call for appointments.

Approximate Healing Schedule For Brow & Eyeliner

1-3 Days: Your fresh permanent makeup will appear 20-40% darker, bolder and more solid than your healed result due to oxidation of the pigment and the nature of the procedure. The skin is red and pigment has been deposited into the top layers of the skin, giving it a darker appearance. There may be minimal swelling.

3-10 Days: The top layers of skin will begin to shed and you may see a loss of color. This is normal! Your pigmented area may begin to itch and the pigment may appear somewhat raised.

7-10+ Days: The skin is now exfoliating, it very important to not pick, scratch, rub, must heal and exfoliate naturally. . The color may appear light as you are still healing. Don’t critique your  yet

4-8 Weeks: Now is the time to critique your brows. Some of the strokes and color may have faded, this is part of the healing process. All cosmetic tattooing is a minimum 2 session procedure, you must have your 2nd session no sooner then 6 weeks and no later then 8 weeks.

Lip Blush - Lip Neutralization

What Lip Blush Service is best for me?

Lip Blush Tattooing-

Lip Blush enhances the color of your natural lips, a soft wash of color or add more color for a bolder lip color.  Lip Blush requires 2 appointments, 6- 8 weeks apart.

Lip Blush Neutralization -

(for deeper melanin lips with blue or purple undertones) often requires 3-4 appointments, 8-10 week apart, in the first year.  It will undergo several color changes and will undergo several color changes and will appear darker, then gradually lighten as it heals.  You must trust the healing process and agree to a minimum of 3 appointments, with an optional 4th if needed.  Each appointment has a fee associated with it.

additional instructions

Pre-Care ONE WEEK before your appointment - exfoliate and moisturized:

  • Before going to bed for 5 nights prior to the procedure, exfoliate lips with a natural scrub (sugar and coconut oil will work perfectly or use a toothbrush)

  • Apply Bepanthen cream (active ingredient dexpanthenol) after exfoliating lips or Aquaphor

  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water because the hydration will dramatically improve the lip surface

Pre-Care 3-2-1 DAYS before your appointment follow below for the best outcome of your service:

  • Please do not work out the day of the procedure because body heat opens pores.

  • Avoid heavy sunlight, especially sunburn 3 days or more before the procedure. The skin should not be going through a healing process!

  • Do NOT drink coffee or anything with caffeine the day of the procedure.

  • Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, and/or Ibuprofen, Omega 3, unless medically necessary, 48-72 hours prior to the procedure. (Tylenol or acetaminophen is okay!)

  • Reschedule the treatment if you didn’t sleep well, feel under the weather, have a high temperature, herpes sores, cold or flu, or an exacerbation of any chronic diseases you may have.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND: talking to your health care provider about prescribing you an antiviral medication to prevent an outbreak of cold sores/fever blisters.  Doctors can prescribe an antiviral treatment to start 2-3 days before the PMU procedure using drugs such as: Valtrex (1500mg) Valacyclovir, Acyclovir, Famvir and Famciclovir, and 4 -6 or more days after or as prescribed by your Doctor.

Lip Blush Tattooing cannot give you HSV-1 but it can cause enough stress on your system to cause the dormant virus to awaken.

*Clients who have never had cold sores can take an over-the-counter L-lysine supplement but a prescription from your health care provider is recommended.
